演講簡介|The burgeoning field of the mind, brain, and education aims to answer the fundamental questions of education through the cognitive science perspectives: how human mind and cognition shaped by learning? What can we do to improve learning with a consideration of individual differences and special needs across the human lifespan? My laboratory utilizes behavioral measures, psychological assessment, and advanced neuroimaging techniques (e.g. EEG, event-related potentials, and functional magnetic resonance imaging) to investigate neurocognitive mechanisms of learning and language, and their potential applications in aging, learning disorders, and second-language learners. In this talk, I will share several research works examining age-related and individual differences in neurocognitive mechanisms of language and problem solving. Furthermore, I will present current work developping effective and evidence-based learning technology (e.g. digital learning) to facilitate language development and improve cognitive capacity. The further directions of learning science and brain science will be discussed.
