演講摘要|Human brain is the basis for differentiated instruction which is one of the most important goals in learning science. Through cognitive neuroscience methods, the relationships between brain mechanisms and learning can be unveiled to benefit the design and development of instructional strategies and course materials. One basic and general approach to investigate these relationships is the electroencephalography (EEG). In this talk, the diversity of interdisciplinary EEG researches (including education, engineering, marketing, human factor design, industrial design, military and criminal justice) will be adopted to clarify how to (1) select the proper EEG index, (2) set the proper factors for EEG experiment, and (3) test the hypotheses and answer the questions based on EEG results for cross-domain study. This cognitive neuroscience approach can help researchers in learning science to extend the findings from current behavioral achievements to the related brain mechanisms that will be critical to develop the advanced assistive technologies for optimizing learning effects.
